A whole icon set
A site needs a favicon.ico for old browsers and Windows, a 180 px icon for iPhones, and 192 and 512 px PNGs for its web manifest. All of them come from one picture, with the link tags and the manifest block to paste, pointing at the folder you name.
Questions about pNG to ICO
Which sizes are in the ICO?
16, 32 and 48 pixels, each stored as a PNG inside the ICO, which Windows and every current browser read.
My logo is not square.
Choose Pad with transparency to keep all of it, or Crop the middle square.
What is the maskable icon?
An icon whose picture sits in the middle 80% on a solid ground, so a phone launcher can cut it into a circle or a rounded square without losing anything.
Can I do several logos?
Yes. Each becomes its own icon set in its own folder in the ZIP.
